GoHigher Records operates on a flat-fee subscription model. You pay a monthly or per-track fee to use our distribution infrastructure — and that is where our revenue ends. We do not take a percentage of your streaming royalties, sync licensing fees, or any other earnings generated by your music. The platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) pay royalties directly into your GoHigherDash account, and you withdraw 100% of what they send.
Distribution through GoHigher Records covers master recording royalties — the revenue generated when your recordings are streamed, downloaded, or used on platforms we distribute to. This includes streaming royalties from Spotify and Apple Music, download revenue from Amazon Music and iTunes, and content monetization from TikTok and YouTube Music. Publishing royalties (performance rights, mechanical royalties) are separate and managed through your PRO (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) and a publishing administrator — GoHigher Records does not collect or administer publishing on your behalf. We recommend registering with a PRO to ensure you capture all revenue streams your music generates.
Streaming platforms typically report and pay royalties on a 2–3 month lag from the date of streaming. For example, streams that occur in January are typically reported and paid by March or April. GoHigher Records passes these payments through to your dashboard as soon as they are received from each platform. Your GoHigherDash analytics dashboard shows estimated stream counts in near real-time, while confirmed royalty figures are updated monthly as platform reports arrive.
